Colour Within press kit

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Everything you need to write about Colour Within: a short description, the facts, the app icon and wordmark, and screenshots. You are welcome to use all of it in coverage of the app. For anything else, email team@colourwithin.app.

About Colour Within

Colour Within is colour by numbers for iPad, painted by hand. Pick a colour, find the matching areas and colour them in yourself with a digital paintbrush or pencil. Every colour on the page already belongs there, so the only choice is where to begin. There are no scores, streaks, timers, reminders or notifications. A different artwork is featured each day, every finished page gets a short timelapse with music, and the whole library and every tool are free with ads. One optional subscription removes the ads and changes nothing else. Colour Within is made in Australia and has been on the App Store since June 2026.

In a sentence: Colour Within is a quiet colour-by-numbers app for iPad where you paint every area yourself.

Content categories

The Library is organised by subject. Every page in every category is available on the free tier.

Daily is the featured page for the day. It changes over at midnight, the past week's pages stay in the Daily tab, and older Daily pages stay in the Library.

Platform requirements

Pricing

Colour Within is free to download and use, with ads. Ads appear in the Library, when you start or stop colouring an artwork, before you share from My Work and sometimes when you return to the app. There are never ads while you are colouring, and today's Daily page never shows one.

The ad-free subscription removes all of those ads, and that is the only difference. There are no paywalled artworks, tools or tiers: every page in the library and every tool is available on the free tier. The subscription is monthly or yearly, priced in each country's App Store, and managed through the App Store like any other subscription.

App icon

The icon comes in a light and a dark version, matching the iPad's appearance setting, at the App Store's 1024 by 1024 pixel size. Apple platforms clip icons to a rounded square, so the previews show them that way.

Wordmark

The wordmark comes in two versions, one for light backgrounds and one for dark, each as a PNG and an SVG. All of them have transparent backgrounds. Use the version that matches the ground it sits on, and leave clear space around it of at least the height of one line of letters.

Screenshots

Captured on an 11-inch iPad Pro in portrait, 1668 pixels wide. Each shows the colouring screen as it looks in the app, with the palette along the bottom and the tools down the side.

Using these assets

You are welcome to use the icon, wordmark and screenshots on this page in articles, reviews, newsletters and social posts about Colour Within. Please keep their colours and proportions as they are, and don't add effects or combine the wordmark with other marks.

The artworks in the screenshots, like every artwork in the app, belong to Colour Within. Showing them in coverage is fine. Redistributing them as colouring pages or line art is not. If you would like to use an artwork in another way, ask first.

A few things to get right: the name is two words, Colour Within, with the Australian English spelling. The subscription is the ad-free subscription. It is not a premium tier, and there is no "pro" version or paywalled content.
