These terms explain how you may use Colour Within, including the app, website, artwork, colouring tools, and support channels. They are written plainly on purpose. If anything here is unclear, contact us before relying on an assumption.

Who we are

Colour Within is an adult paint-by-numbers app for iPad, developed by the Colour Within team. You can contact us at team@colourwithin.app.

Accepting these terms

By downloading, opening, or using Colour Within, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

Using the app

You may use Colour Within for personal, non-commercial colouring and enjoyment. You may not interfere with the app, attempt to bypass access controls, copy or reverse engineer the app, or use it in a way that breaks the law or infringes someone else's rights.

Artwork and app content

The artwork, palettes, app design, text, graphics, and other content provided in Colour Within are owned by Colour Within or used with permission from their creators or licensors. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive licence to use that content inside the app.

Unless we clearly say otherwise, you may not sell, redistribute, sublicense, extract, upload, repost, or reuse the original Colour Within artwork, palettes, files, or app content outside the app.

Your finished pages

You are welcome to save and share the pages you finish in Colour Within for personal, non-commercial use. Sharing a finished page does not transfer ownership of the original artwork, line art, palette, or app content.

Your colouring choices are yours. The original artwork remains protected. Please do not sell finished pages, upload them to stock-art or print-on-demand services, package them as your own colouring products, or otherwise use them commercially unless we have given written permission.

Your drawings and local data

Your colouring sessions are stored on your iPad. Colour Within does not upload your artwork, drawing strokes, or colouring progress to our servers. See the privacy policy for more detail about what is and is not collected.

Sharing and attribution

When you use the app's Save or Share this page function, Colour Within automatically adds an attribution footer to the exported image. If you share the image publicly, please keep that footer intact and visible.

Please do not crop out, cover, remove, or alter the attribution footer, artist credits, notices, or app marks that appear with the shared image.

If you want to use Colour Within artwork in press, education, reviews, accessibility writing, or another context that does not fit the personal-use permission above, contact us first. We would rather answer a quick question than make everyone guess.

Feedback and support content

If you send us feedback, bug reports, screenshots, suggestions, or other support material, you give us permission to use that material to understand, improve, test, and support Colour Within. We will not sell your private support messages or use them as public marketing quotes without asking you first.

Subscriptions and purchases

Colour Within may offer an ad-free subscription through the App Store. Subscriptions are managed by Apple using your Apple ID. Apple handles payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds according to the App Store terms that apply to your account.

The ad-free subscription removes ads. It does not unlock separate artwork tiers, premium tools, or hidden content.

No promise of uninterrupted service

We want Colour Within to be reliable, but we cannot promise that the app, website, artwork catalogue, ads, analytics, subscriptions, or support channels will always be available or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Colour Within is provided as-is. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app or website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you may have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, unless mandatory laws in your location require otherwise.
